A very important archive of 20th century American music belonging to Oliver Daniel (1911-1990). The collection contains large files of composer correspondence with Daniel and includes 4,000 letters to/from important composers and conductors, 60 reel-to-reel tapes of live performances of works by modern composers, 500 photographs, and 5,000 programs and press materials. The photographic material is particularly rich and broad in scope. Names associated with the collection: Henry Cowell, Leopold Stokowski, Dimitri Mitropoulos, Aaron Copland.
